About us

I’m Laura, a lifelong marketer turned passionate horse owner. My Whinny began with a simple mission: to make it easier for people like me to care for their horses. When I couldn’t find reliable, trusted help for my boys—Tequila and Whiskey, The Booze Brothers—I realized the horse world lacked the kind of digital tools other industries take for granted. My Whinny connects horse, mule, and donkey owners with reputable providers—safely, easily, and all in one place. And for providers, it’s a chance to grow their business without juggling ads or chasing leads. We market the platform so you can focus on what you do best: caring for animals.Because when your horse whinnies for help, you should know exactly who to call.— Laura Flamenco, Founder of My Whinny

How do Reviews work?

- Customers review the specific service listing they booked (e.g., farrier, training), not the provider overall.
- Providers review the customer to help ensure respectful and reliable interactions.
- Listing reviews appear on both the service listing and the provider’s profile.
- Customer reviews appear on the customer’s profile.
- Reviews open 2 days after a service ends
- My Whinny uses a double-blind system — reviews are only visible after both parties submit theirs or when the 7-day window ends.
- You’ll be notified by email when it’s time to review, and you’ll have 7 days to complete it.
- If only one review is submitted, it will still be published after the deadline.

Provider's FAQs

How do Providers' payouts work?

After a payment occurs in a transaction, Stripe holds the money from the payment before a payout to the provider is triggered.
How the payout triggers depends on the transaction settings in the associated transaction:
1. Calendar booking: The payout is triggered 2 days after the end of the booking period (i.e., if the booking ends on Monday, the payout is triggered on Wednesday)
2. Purchase: The payout can be triggered in one of two ways when:
2.1 The buyer marks the order as received
2.2 The transaction automatically marks itself as completed 14 days after the provider marks the order as delivered (or shipped).
After a payout is triggered, Stripe will begin the process of transferring the funds to the provider's bank account, which is connected to their payout settings on the marketplace.
It can take Stripe anywhere between 5 to 10 business days to transfer the money to the provider's bank account. Moreover, there may be additional days of standard bank processing time before the balance appears in the provider's bank account statement.

How does My Whinny’s advertising help service providers?

When you join My Whinny, you’re not just getting a listing—you’re gaining access to collective advertising power. Instead of each service provider needing to spend thousands on Facebook, Instagram, Google Ads, or other platforms to be noticed, My Whinny pools resources from all listing fees to run targeted marketing campaigns designed to bring horse owners directly to the marketplace, resulting in:• Lower individual costs: You don’t need to manage or pay for your own digital ads to reach customers.
• Professional, ongoing campaigns: Our team handles ad creation, placement, and optimization.
• Shared visibility: Every ad we run for My Whinny highlights the entire network of providers, helping new clients discover you.
In short, your listing fee buys you access to marketing power that would cost much more if done individually.
